Sipyloidea sp.
PSG. 103
Origin of culture stock: Thailand
|
Sub Family: Necrosciinae Foodplant in captivity: Bramble. Humidity requirements: I keep this species in a plastic cage that has ventilation holes on the lid. I lightly spray the leaves each evening, and note that the insects do like to drink this. Comment:
This is one of many
species that I was given quite recently. Both sexes are winged. The
males are particularly attractive, having red-tinged hindwings with which they
will readily fly several feet (keep windows closed!). The wings of the
females are a dull shell-pink colour, similar to those of Sipyloidea
sipylus.
