PSG No.195.
Origin of culture stock: Philippines
|
Sub Family: Heteropteryginae. Foodplant in captivity: I use a mix of bramble and oak. Humidity requirements: Most members of the Heteropteryginae demand high humidity levels, though to be honest I have found that this particular species will still thrive in a partially-ventilated tank, provided that the tank is sprayed daily. Comment: Another popular and fairly easy-to-rear species. Needs a layer of substrate (e.g. compost, vermiculite, perlite or sand) in which to bury the ova. Note that this species is parthenogenic in culture (i.e. only females are available). Defence tactics: |
